A first step into movement, confidence and sport
Matchpoint Minis is designed for kindergarten and childcare children who are beginning to explore movement, coordination and group play. The program uses modified tennis equipment, colourful activities and imaginative games to help children build physical confidence in a safe and positive environment.
While tennis is the theme, the real goal is broader: helping children develop the fundamental movement and motor skills that support sport, school readiness and everyday confidence.
Our program helps children develop:
- Balance and coordination
- Throwing, catching and striking skills
- Spatial awareness and reaction skills
- Confidence in movement
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Listening and following instructions

Where Matchpoint Minis fits in the bigger picture
Matchpoint Minis is designed as an early entry point into movement, confidence and sport for children aged 3 to 5.
The program helps children build the coordination, listening skills, confidence and social foundations that can later support their transition into the Matchpoint junior pathway, including Hot Shots stages such as Blue Ball and Red Ball when they are ready.
It gives children a positive first experience with movement and tennis, while also creating a clear pathway for families who may want their child to continue learning beyond childcare or kindergarten.
